78 /100 ZAC DES CLÉMORINANTS Located on the island of Ré right near La Rochelle.
Very friendly staff, the owner was there when we arrived but left shortly after, the brewer does the sales and was very willing to talk and show us the installations.
The brewery was fist owned by an Austrian, then sold to the current owner who hired two brewers from the nearby university that has a brewery dept.
All the beers have an Hefe base.
The law doesn’t allow for samples, but beers are up for sale in singles of 6-pack, along with glassware and the local wine.
It’s a nice place to visit especially considering the beautiful landscape and settings of the island.
Definitely worth supporting this small brewery.
As is the case with many small French craft beers, the price tends to be rather price for a 33cl bottle, around 2€85 ea. |
