Green Man (Bar)
59 HIGH STREET
“We visited here Sunday 15th April 2012 having cycled to The Six Bells Fulbourn, then The Geldart, Cambridge followed by The Elm Tree and then St Radegund. The Green Man was a very pleasant cycle out of Cambridge along Grantchester Meadows along the river Cam. We visited here as the local CAMRA guide seemed to mention it quite a lot probably because it had a big beer festival for a pub with some 50 beers, ciders and perries available over the Easter weekend just gone. However I have to confess to be a little bit disappointed. The beer selection was yet another hardly exciting choice with Moorhouses Blonde Witch probably the most interesting, my Elgoods Whippet whilst tasting fine looked like Oxtail soup it was very murky and cloudy like I said it tasted actualy ok but a more observant landlord would probably have been reluctant to have served that and would have taken it back before I chance to sup it, the fact was, there was nothing else to have interested me had I have decided to have returned it. The barmaid seemed far more interested in talking to two friends at the bar rather than assist in serving. All in all not a great pub, though with it’s location and looks it should and could probably do much better. Not my cup of tea.“
