“Lovely country pub in its own building, on a small road running parallel to the main road out of Mobberley on its eastern side. You can enter or leave the main road from either end and you’ll still pass this pub. Parking may be a bit of an issue at the weekend, the pub is packed, and not big enough to cater of the amount of people wanting to eat here. There’s very few spaces for simply drinking during the pubs peak times - there’s no seats at the bar as it’s a cramped space between it and short partition wall that defines the main eating and drinking space, although there’s small areas on all three sides of the ground floor of the building. It’s a lovely welcoming place even when the many staff are rushing about the place at the weekend often trying to dodge those standing and waiting for a table to become free. The ales are worth a visit though. Weetwood supply two or three with guests occupying the rest of the pumps - all of which are in a line in the middle of the bar. There’s a considerable outdoor area at the side of the pub.“

“Probably the best traditional English pub I’ve ever been in. Very cosy inside, big beer garden, 7 real ales on cask, all from local Cheshire breweries. The food was really good too, staff nice, friendly and helpful“
