“Surprisingly large Hotel / Restaurant / Pub considering it’s position, which is idyllic, but right at the end of a tiny village in Borrowdale. There is a pleasant bar, which is the best place to be, a lovely patio area but rather a soulless restaurant with an admittedly magnificent view. A reasonable range of beers available taking its position, well kept. There are package walkers in here but decent walking banter, particularly after making it over Greenup Edge from Grasmere.“
