58 /100 THE RIDGEWAY, MILL HILL
“In its own building in a very leafy part of Mill Hill just south of its village centre, it’s a large single room ground floor affair with the bar set back from the front windows, which look out into the car park which allows half a dozen or so cars in it. There’s tables between the service area and window that can be cleared leaving a large dance floor area if required. It’s been refurbished recently and is looking fresh with traditional pub furniture and feel throughout. The keg beers are not up to much, but there’s a small but decent enough row of cask pulled ales on one side, and these can be enjoyed in the rear garden if the weather is good enough. It’s a decent enough place to visit if you are in the are, but its drink selection is not worth making a special trip for.“

46 /100 THE RIDGEWAY, MILL HILL
“This is the local for my cricket club and I have drunk here for many years. After years of neglect new management have finally found a formula that gets bodies in, namely gastropub for the Mill Hill middle classes. This makes it both a better place to find cask ale and a less welcoming place for drinkers. And very expensive for zone 4/5. Actually the casks never change, which makes it less exciting. And it isn’t super welcoming for drinkers, that’s for sure. Bizarrely has lots of awards on display; doubt it’ll get many from Ratebeer!“
