“Had a look in after work on a Saturday evening, but this place must have been added to Ratebeer many years ago, as it has certainly not been a Moorhouses pub for a number of years - and certainly has not had some of the 2014 Moorhouses special beers that have been added to this listing previously. It’s a small two room affair either side of its entrance door. The bar side on the right includes the one ale pump which will almost certainly be Marstons Pedigree, the left leads to the soft furnished best room that’s cosy enough. The only real reason to visit is for the rarely seen keg ale Manns Chestnut, which wasn’t actually on when I was there despite the pump being firmly attached to the bar. It’s opposite the small bus terminal in Farnworth which may be of convenience if you somehow find yourself here in this non-descript part of urban Greater Manchester. It’s a friendly place though.“

“Opposite the market hall in Farnworth. A very plain pub with 1 ale on when I visited. It was well kept but it’s certainly a working man’s venue. Beer was £1.65 a pint!“
