“From memory this place is highly rated... for Hants. The pub in Aldershot is rank and it turns out that Tfff's flagship is little better, otjr than being packed. Why??? Cheap,? 5 cass. Othwrs were Dorking, RahC, whatever. Only one is from the brewery and that wad the only tick..OK -I may have missed a core range. Looked around the corner and the taps.were just macro lager snd cider... 6 or so. Depressing. I guess the vicinity to the station may explain the fact that it was standing room only but outside and inside it seemingly hadn't been redecorated for 40 years and beers weren't great.“

“On the high Street. A relatively narrow shopfront but it goes way back. When I for a wee I discovered that what I thought was a staircase was in fact a now built over alleyway. You.walk the relatively narrow bar to the bat. On first glance only three cask handles. However the beers are then advertised via hanging wooden boards to the left. 10 or so on keg, the casks and then four b-i-b cider. Very friendly and chatty owner. Just not very busy. Decent stop on way to or from Ten Tun.“

“I am frigging jealous. Sweet FA near me but sleepy market town Alton gets a great craft beer focused bar that is now a brewpub. OK.. there's probably some economic elements at play.. the bar is in a redeveloped outdoor shopping area. Presumably some sort of lane/alley previously.. Ignore the first two doors. Go around to the market square (whatever it is) area and the entrance is there. Two shop units with bar and seating in one, and open doorway to the additional seating and loos. Presumably the brewery is in the next unit. Friendly owner. Other staff asked for feedback on beer. Beers we're pretty much entirely from Hants and neighbouring counties, plus three of their own. Some devcent stuff though: Elusive, Siren, Disruption is Ascot, etc. The restaurant next door looks quite fancy. Therefore I am presuming that the burger menu available at Ten Tun from said restaurant (Dill) is specifically available to the bar. Great place if you don't mind the lack of national craft. “

“Reviewed during lockdown release phase 2, inside allowed with social distancing. This is the new kid on the block and very different to the traditional pubs in town. It had the misfortune of opening just days before lockdown 1, and really is just finding its feet. A single roomed Craft house with roughly 8 keg beers plus a fridge full of cans. No food, just well selected beers. The place to go for new beers in town. Well worth seeking out, just watch opening times.“

“Reviewed during lockdown release phase 2, inside allowed with social distancing. Handy pub for the train station where many of the buses pass through too. It's on a busy road with outdoor seating to front and rear. Friendly, chatty place, nice atmosphere, well run. The beers are largely from Triplefff, with just one guest. This is the traditional boozer in Alton, well worth a visit.“

“Reviewed during lockdown release phase 2, inside allowed with social distancing. Old road pub on the edge of the town centre, about 5 mins walk. Thought we were breaking into a wake, quite funereal on first impressions but the Landlord did warm to us later on. Watch out for mid afternoon closing. Small range of cask, presumably due to Covid but I did manage a winner. It's worth a look if nearby.“

“This is a fairly good pub but does really lack choice in terms of beers almost all the pumps are brewed by the brewery which is just a few miles away. Lacks any bottle and lacks IPA beers (although that is not unusual in the UK) Also doesn't do any craft beers but again not unusual in a real ale pub“

“Nice pub which acts as the tap for Triple FFF brewery so usually a good choice of their beers. 2 mins walk from station at edge of town centre. Update April 2016 : only £3.00 for a pint of guest beer, Surrey Hills Ranmore which was in very good condition.“

“Visited on a Saturday evening in April ’11 prior to a trip on the RAT. 5 triple fff beers on including Pressed Rat and Warthog. Place was fairly busy and we sat in the beer garden. Trad pub decor inside, beer garden holds railway style items, such as a level crossing gate. Service was fine, prices appraiching those of a London pub. Well worth popping in for a pint of you are hitting the Watercress Line.“

“The Triple FFF brewery tap and a nice pub to boot. They had 4 Triple FFF beers on when I went there and also had some guest beers from other areas. Worth visiting if you’re in the area, especially if you want to go on the Watercress Line.“

“Range of Triple fff beers, with several guests and bottled belgian beers. Relaxed atmosphere with lots of locals - plenty of nooks if you want a quiet drink undisturbed.“

“Triple fff’s brewery tap. Offers a large selection of Triple fff’s own beers, plus a guest or two, and a couple of draught ciders. Tours of the brewery start here with a few drinks, then a trip on a restored steam train down the Watercress Line to the brewery itself. The pub itself has a good atmosphere - plenty of wood, plenty of character, plenty of seating. Patio area out front to watch the traffic go by, and a beer garden out the back. Music played constantly, but not too loud. Cockles are sold in glass jars.“
