“There's always solid trad stuff here (what I drink when I go), and some more modern stuff to please the cool kids. Huge range of beer to choose from. They used to have even more guest in the fridge but maybe lockdown has changed that. Food is pretty basic, but tasty.“

“Decent brewpub offering bloody good beers and food and a wide range of guests, mostly on tap. Rather too many big windows for comfort on a sunny day, crap location with parking problems, but a relaxed atmosphere and a quirky charm. If this place we're slightly closer I'd be here more often. Well worth a detour if in the area.“

“Literally on the wrong side of the tracks from Eastleigh town centre, go over the railway bridge and onto a run down road - an Eastleigh based former colleague tells me they never come into this part of town. On an early Friday evening there was a mixture of work colleagues, couples stopping off whilst walking their dogs and my fellow lone beer geeks. A relaxed atmosphere - more enjoyable local than hip craft Friendly staff. This place must be two units knocked into one. The main pub area, which may well have been a corner pub in the past, and the dining room and brewery in the other unit. Five of their beers on cask and a couple of guests casks. The around 12 keg offerings, with the taps in the rear wall - initially failed to spot them. In hindsight I should have stayed here and made the most of the Unity, Vibrant Forest and Cloudwater ticks (amongst others) instead of heading to Winchester. Will aim to return, even their own beers were not particularly interesting.“

“Flying visit on way back from Steam Town to the station as saw my train was delayed. Quite an attractive and large pub situated right opposite Eastleigh station. Fairly standard JDW offering as a pub. Beers wise the offering was ok but nothing special - did include a few interesting local casks including Flack Manor and Stonehenge complementing otherwise mainstream beers. Worth a stop but only if in area.“

“Called in when in the area for work. Situated a 5 minute walk from Eastleigh station (turn right out of station and go over the bridge). Was a week too early for the true brewpub experience. The brewery will start serving its own beers next week. But even now it's a great spot to visit, with 4 local cask ales, 16 kegs including the likes of Verdant, Dark Star, Deya and Cloudwater and a fridge with around 30 bottles/cans also from some quality craft beer names. So already scores highly even before its own beers are launched. The place has a rustic feel, with lots of exposed brick. It used to be a cafe until reopened as the brewpub in November 2017. A nod to railway history comes in the form of old railway carriage seats along the far wall. Looked better than today's train seats! Brewery equipment can be seen through a large window next to the toilet! Very friendly service, ok prices. David the brewer was happy to chat and this is a place I certainly hope to revisit.“

“Another pretty standard chain type, country pub with a few more than less interesting casks and some lesser interesting bottles. Fair priced and decent food. Friendly staff, but a bit crowded the day a visited. Had no need to go back another day furing my week stay in the area.“

“Another Weatherspoon pub, but with a certain personality. About 10 casks, a few bottles and standard JDW menu, all fairly priced. Quite crowdie both times I visited, but the staff managed to keep track most of the time. Indian food specials on Thursday was nice. Best pub in this area.“

“This place reminds me of an Applebee’s, but cheaper. Pretty chainy feel to it. Staff was friendly enough. Small handful of cask ales. Pretty generic food. Definitely my least expensive ales so far at one pound twenty five for a half.“

“Wagon Works is directly opposite the railway station and occupies an old Arts and Crafts style pub building dating from 1887. For a ‘spoons it’s quite nice and cosy inside and the service was friendly and efficient. They have 10 hand pumps. When I visited around half were occupied with the usual selection and the other half with more interesting beers, some from small local breweries. (Visited 11 December 2014).“

“Right opposite the station where the commercial centre of Eastleigh starts, this Wetherspoon is set around an L shaped bar on the ground floor and has a fairly plush decor whilst remaining fairly traditional in style. Its features include a doubled sided open fireplace in the middle of the room to the left as you walk in and a number booth areas with high-backed seating. There’s outdoor seating here too. An excellent choice if you are using the railways.“
