82 /100 Southwick Brewhouse (Beer Store) THE OLD BREWHOUSE, HIGH STREET, SOUTHWICK Visited on 30th August 2019. Lovely little place which is really a 'mothballed' old steam brewery half converted into a museum and bottle shop (with cask Suthwyk Ales available also). Friendly chap inside and a good selection of mostly local beers. We bought all five of their own beers and a few others that interested me. We were on our way to Portsmouth for a cruise and this is an ideal stopping off poinr for both Southampton and Portsmouth if you are down this way. |
80 /100 Southwick Brewhouse (Beer Store) THE OLD BREWHOUSE, HIGH STREET, SOUTHWICK Great selection of Southern ales, ciders and beers. Lovely location and history is attached to the Brewery. |
74 /100 Southwick Brewhouse (Beer Store) THE OLD BREWHOUSE, HIGH STREET, SOUTHWICK Interesting beer shop set in an old victorian brewery last used in 1957. The upstairs is virtually unchanged from the 1950s with all the old equipment. Small selection of foreign beers a few ciders but mostly focusing on UK micros - with three casks when I was there. The beers were a bit more expensive than the norm but well worth a look to experience a slice of history. |
