“Went to visit some friends at their new house on 19/08/17. When we nipped into Rochester they informed me that there was now a new shop and microbar specialising in craft brews. Cool! Only when we got there it turned out to have been shut a few weeks previously. Not cool! Noticed this shop down the road. Very posh and well presented. Only adding it in case someone’s in Rochester and wants to buy a local beer. They stocked various bottles from Old Dairy and Chapel Down. But just the two breweries. They also apparently stock cider and mead but didn’t spot those. As I didn’t want bitter or golds, I didn’t bother buying anything and went to a sweet shop to buy comfort food in order to console myself.“

“Visited on 27th July 2016. Micropub on the High St about half way between Rochester and Chatham stations. It’s a two roomed place with a small bar and kitchen area. Seating room off to the right as you walk in plus a couple of high tables in the bar area. 3 gravity dispense ales on the Wednesday evening we visited but have up to 7 on dependent on the day of the week. Beer was from local Kent brewers, was in good condition and was £3 a pint. Food is french cuisine and there is a proper open plan kitchen in the venue. Didn’t sample it though. Nice enough micropub and one I would go back to.“

“This place is ace! 11 Kentish beers on cask plus real Kentish cider and some decent keg offerings from Belgium and Germany. Proper boozer, friendly and worth going out of your way for.“
