“Missed the part about how this place doesn’t brew anymore. Ended up having a good time after the initial disappointment. Decent food. Dive-y for sure. Server new nothing about the beer other than their color.“

“Yes, this place is unique. When I walked in there was dollar bills hangen all over the place. Nice medium size L shaped bar in a pretty small abode. These people are so friendly. the bartender asked me immediately what I wanted even the the place was jammed, even outside on teh patio. One of the waitresses came up and put her arm around me and struck up some chat, wew. Had 16 craft and imports on tap. Many I never tasted. Yea, just a small bar in a beach strip mall, but its cool. Glad I stopped here, was going to blow it off but since it was so close to R Bar Brewpub, I gave it a chance, did not regret. Got class and personality. Over a quite quaint and interesting place on the beach of the western islands. Decent blues playinb in the background.“

“A hidden gem for a good variety of milder beers. Yes, it is a real dive, heheh. All you can eat specials every day, today it was catfish. This is a wooden beach place painted with boardwalk gettup but its actually back off the beach a couple of blocks. Big long hook shaped bar. Firenldy and oh so helpful server. Not real busy at lunchtime. The brewer was brewing but he came out to see what I was up to since I ordered a sampler. Yes, they could not have been more helpful here. The samples are 6 oz and they cost $2 each. Had the house fries. Noce and crispy on the outside and very creamy on the inside, yummy. This beachcomber little place was certainly not quite what I was expecting but glad I stopped in, a very good overall beer tasting experience.Had 7 different house beers on tap. Only brewpub on the west coast clearwater, seminole, gulfport western island beach scene.“

“This place is a craft beer-drinker’s oasis. Looks like an old-school bar, with black and white photos from the 60s and old guitars on the walls. Blues music plays in the background. Very clean. Service was amazing. The waitress was always there before I even realized I needed something. Twelve craft beers on tap--no Bud or MGD anywhere in sight! Food was the best I’ve had in a bar. Prices were higher than average, but considering the quality of everything, they were reasonable. Great place!“

“This is about dive-y beach bar as it gets, like something out of a 80s comedy starring John Candy. Beer is decent though, and food is pretty great. And hey, at least the beer is made in house. Otherwise a couple of cigar city offerings, then the usual macro garbage. If you are at the beach. This is about the only option.“
