“Visiting family in The Villages over the holidays and discovered this gem in our "backyard". The address is Wildwood...but the location is out in the farmland between both towns. Really a great place they put together...just like the name...it’s a really great backyard...with cool homemade (but professional quality) outdoor furniture, fire pits, stage, and outdoor games. They also have a great little taproom with one side featuring an outdoor facing side of the bar...nice touch. There were "14" beers on tap when I visited...all named "Big Ass" something...that being their beer "brand". A few of the more notable were the several of the IPA’s (4 plus a pale ale), a 7.5% beer called "French Toast (perfectly executed for its name), and several flavored (mostly fruit) Kolsch/Hefe/Wheat varieties. All in all a very varied selection. Now I should mention here that although the selection was large and varied...the quality was in most cases only average...with a few above average...but I’m willing to overlook that some in my review given how cool this place is and how great the owners and staff are. It’s easy to have a great time here! Note they also serve homemade wines (blended I believe...vs grown). If in The Villages...or anywhere’s near the junction of I75 and the FL TPK...check this place out.“
