| 62 /100 Lion Inn (Theakston) (Bar) LION INN, “Historic old mining pub high up on the North Yorkshire Moors, Blakey Ridge, the pub is known as Blakey’s to locals. A good portion of its business is now from people walking C2C or Lyke Wake walkers, so expect to see a lot of wet and bedraggled people. I hit on a very pleasant day but having climbed the ridge from Rosedale I was a little hot and sweaty. Wooden beams and slate tiled floors, walkers breakfasts. It’s the place to go.“ |
