60 /100 COLNE ROAD
“Nestled on the western edge of the undistinguished town of Cross Hills with the North Yorkshire countryside beginning again behind it, it's handily placed on the main road between Yorkshire and East Lancashire. Mainly a food pub, you'll be eating in very traditional and comfy surroundings with the bar behind the first area with seats after you enter. Drinks on here are predominantly from Timothy Taylor as they own the pub, but the last pump is a rotating guest with a seasonal available on my visit. Bottles from the Tim Taylor are also available in gift packs and these include the new crafted brews from this once staunchly traditional brewer. The food menu is fairly extensive and although not gourmet is of decent quality, it's also table service. There's lot of outdoor space including a roof terrace and attractive front garden area. There's a car park at its side.“

“Close to the North and West Yorkshire borders, this pub is around the corner from Naylor’s brewery and includes around 5 of their cask brews on several pumps around the central bar. It’s as cosy inside as the white washed old inn appears to be on the outside and its low ceilings and close walls and furniture make it perfectly atmospheric for what is a very traditional village-type pub. Food is very much on the agenda here and a lot of space is taken up for this, but there’s ample areas for locals and those wanting only to drink with a fireplace at one end of the bar. There’s also a small room attached with a darts board and television. The car park at the rear can hold about 15 cars and there’s a small patio area here too. A Christmas brew from Naylors - Santa Express - was on during my visit.“
