“Visited here a few years ago not specifically for beer but for food and the setting, although a real ale or two will be available. The setting here is lovely and my old dogs were able to wander around the large garden area and across the stone bridge where the grounds meet the small river. Lovely place.“

“Reviewed during Lockdown release phase 2, indoors allowed, socially distanced. It would be hard pressed to find a pub in a more beautiful setting, overlooking the village green with a packhorse bridge and lovely river, very peaceful and tranquil, on a sunny day as with our visit it would be a shame to sit inside when there are benches to the front taking it all in. I believe the large building at the top of the square used to be a hospital. I believed this to be a Robinson's pub, most of the beers on were from them, but it appears not. Go there just for the setting, for once it's not about the beer, oh and the beef sandwich with gravy is amazing.“
