“Not too far from Lord Byron’s grave which is at the end of the street, this is a fairly standard Wetherspoon in a down-to-earth town that grew up around the mining industry - you can read about the local colliery and Ada Lovelace on the walls. It’s the traditional pub look for this one with plenty of soft furnishings making it decent enough without standing out, and of course you can find a changing selection of real ales here. Can be got here on the Nottingham tram.“
