COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A surprisingly light-bodied session ale with a rich roasted malt character. Incredible drinkable, the deliciously balanced chocolate and caramel malt character makes the Dark Mild a cult favorite.

brokensail (21480) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 6, 2022
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2022 Bottle @ Home. Dark brown, nearly black, with a tan head. Plenty of roasted malt along with some toast, coffee, bread, and a touch of roasted nuts. An earthy and floral hop character with some subtle woody notes. A touch of caramel and molasses. Predictably light in body with a fairly lively carbonation. Perhaps a touch acidic on the finish, but still pretty nice and serves its purpose.

improvjock (368) - Kennewick, Washington, USA - APR 5, 2022
UPDATED: APR 5, 2022 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small tan head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee. Fairly thin, but that’s to be expected given the low ABV. Well balanced, not too sweet and not too bitter. A bit bland though. You could do worse with a sessionable beer, but it was just ok for me.

joet (2900) - Oregon, USA - AUG 2, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 2, 2020 Very dark brown with frothy off white foam. Clarity visible at the edges. Feel is soft, but definitely not still, and light bodied. Little head retention or formation. Up near 53F, it opens up with caramels, touch of licorice, old books. This is the kind of beer good gentlemen sit hours with. Darling. Bought from Beermongers Portland in the 10 pint bag.

blankboy (9698) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2020 [Cask at Cask Days 2019] Pours a very dark brown with an average size lasting bubbly off-white head. Slightly roasty malty aroma with a good amount of leafy hops, some chocolate and light coffee. Flavour follows with toasted malt, leafy hops, chocolate and a hint of coffee -- it's hoppier than expected. Tons of flavour for the low abv. Average bodied. Great stuff, I loved it.

Smooth creamy average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Very nice. Excellent take on the style. 7+/4-5/7+/4/16+ On cask at Bar Volo, Toronto.

DerWeg (2175) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 7, 2019
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2019 Cask at bar volo toronto, nice look and served not too cold, Brisk bitter herbality is slowly eclipsed with the demerara and nutty-toffe aspect earning this beer the respect of a true session ale, one worth getting lost in during a miserable Lancashire afternoon. It's a light body but this is what you get in this weight.

JoeMcPhee (12096) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2019
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2019 Cask at Bar Volo (it’s been far too long since I’ve written that phrase). Dark brown pour with a thick creamy tan head. The nose is great. Firm toasty aroma and a nice rich malt base. Some light fruit and a firm woodsy bitterness. Pretty authentic tasting.
