ClarkVV (13408) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 1, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2023 Bottle, didn't catch the date, drunk 9/30/23. Peachy-blonde-amber. Clear, small, peach-tinted, white head shows moderate retention. Luscious fruit, leathery, juicy, well-macerated and mellowed with no hard edge to it. Wheat, honey, biscuit balances easily. Soft funk, big mineral, all sorts of wondrous peach character here. Gentle brett on the clean finish. Baked bread, honey, biscuit and exquisite peach character with a well-attenuated, deep malt and wheat-like texture. Juicy, leathery, zesty, spicy even, peaches are done so, so well here. Lovely brett, mineral, more grain and lingering peach.

500ml bottle thanks to Steve. Copper colored pour with small, bubbly beige head. Peaches dominate here, both the aroma and taste.Aroma brings out some of the woody, barrel notes, while taste brings the peaches, tartness and some yeasty funk.

Bottle for rating 7000: First off, thanks to Skyview for this rarity! Bob always comes through on beers from New Glarus, and its very much appreciated! Deeper orange with an ever so slight rose like hue. Big frothy off-white head, nice lacing, lively carbonation. Bright peaches on the nose... wow, smells great! Tart and vinegary up front, with not as much peach aspect as the nose suggested. Slightly dry, very tart. Didn't think this was a Sour Red/Brown, but it certainly tastes that way. Nose says Fruity Wild Ale, Tongue says Sour Brown. Smooth, nice carbonation on the tongue. Backside shows a bit more of the Peach fruitiness as it warms. Wow, I am taken back by this one. I always say, can Dan Carey do no wrong? Tart and fruity finish. The vinegar aspect lessens as it warms and it becomes more fruity. This is one great beer, wow!

Bottle. Murky orange-brown, sediment-laden body, medium dense cream head. Tart sweet and sour nose with peach and fermented sugars. Wheaty, grassy body with tart peach and cobwebby funk. Very good.

THANKS A LOT to David S. 500 ml. bottle sampled. Bottled 08/2014. MASSIVE GUSHER. Ugly hazy reddish amber, little head. Nose is amazing peach, bright fresh, unbelievable for the age, peach goes towards peach gelatine candy in a great way, low glue, USA sour. Carbonation is bit messy, too high which is a minor paint. Massive peach, extremely peach gelatine candy & fresh fruit, low glue, sourness is in the back, acidic oak, massive bright gelatine candy peach rules. Really amazing beer, shame about the messy carbonation & major gushing though.

Clownoisseur (531) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2017
Bottle (several actually) - Pours a deep golden with amber hues and a copper tinge. Light off-white head breaks into fine lace. Aromas is full of peaches...brett-funk, hay, light oak and hint of vanilla. Taste is full-on peach jam...light tart note pushes the fruit forward. Brett takes center stage in the backend, giving a nice dry funk. Oak, vanilla come through, as does more candied peach. Another master piece from Dan Carey.
