26/XI/16 - 33cl @ Vini Birre Ribelli (Brussels) - BB: n/a (2016-1393) Thanks to sebletitje and 77ships for sharing today’s beers!

Clear pale yellow beer, practically no head. Aroma: very fruity, peaches, bit sweet, malty. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty acidic, malty, mineral character, salty touch. Aftertaste: citric acid, very mineral, bit salty, soapy finish.

from Batavia - pours a hazy pale yellow beer with a poor head retention; weird aroma of cheese, sweat, citrus and pineapple; thin-bodied, fairly sour; the finish is citric, cheesy, lactic and quite short - something is not working in the combination of hops and Berliner characteristics

Bottle sample @ Vini Birre Ribelli ’16.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ Vini Birre Ribelli 2016. Paler citrus golden. Nose is weird mineral, chemical, spoiled fruit. Body is far too watery & the same goes for the taste. Lightly salty, chemical, lemon zest, spoiled fruit, lactic, mineral. Strange & far too watery for what it is. Their basic Berliner Weisse is much better than this. Maybe they tried to fix a batch? Still I don’t think that it is as awful as the other reviewers. It isn’t that great either & far too watery.

On tap at Haand Festival 2015. Muddy yellow body with white lacings. Aroma of bakers yeast, cheese and puke. Taste is citric with a metallic acidity, paper and sweat. This beer has clearly gone wrong and should not be served or sold.

Hazy pale golden with a white head - Sour aroma that has something off, not good in it - No good flavours that has sourness in it - No good finish - This was just a foul bad tasting beer

Fra kran på Haand Ølfestival 30 Mai 15. Delt med Rune. Lys gusjegulbrun. Filmskum. Svak sjokolade(?) aroma. Smaken som kildevann.

On tap at Haand Festival. Unclear, yellow body under a small, dense, white head. Sweaty socks, cheese doodles, lemon peel and some grainy malts in the aroma. There’s a light bitterness in the flavor, with resins, pine cones, lemon and that same unpleasant, sweaty maltyness found in the aroma. Dry, thin and nicely carbonated, and with a lasting finish. Well, what can I say. Perhaps I’m being too nice awarding a 1.4 score, perhaps I’m just being polite, but I can’t go any higher. Maybe it’s the mix of hops and berliner weisse that does it, maybe something else. It sure weren’t any good. 150530

Too citric in my eyes. Harsh milky mouthfeel, no body and - unlike the name suggests - hops are hardly detectable. Rhubarb notes and a finish as if you'd drunk the liquid of your pickles. No!
