ricardostercios (1596) - Castelló de la Plana, SPAIN - MAY 19, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2021 Color negro, opaca.

mcberko (41820) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 18, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2019 On tap at Mikkeller CPH, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of Christmas spices, dark fruits, burnt brown sugar, and molasses. Flavour is pretty similar, with burnt sugar, molasses, Christmas spices (especially cinnamon and nutmeg), and gentle dark fruits. Spicy, burnt and dry on the finish. Not bad, a little harsh.

PapaSkeetSkeet (1320) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - OCT 21, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2019 Bottle from Bottles in Providence, RI. Dark dark brown-black with a light brown head, 1cm, that is fine and fades slowly. Aroma is raisins, brown sugar, holiday sugar cookie, bit of licorice and cloves, some chocolate, hint of coffee in the background. Smells good! Body is smooth and velvety, syrupy-oily, medium-heavy weight, medium carbonation, medium-fine bubbles, medium-low burn. Milky. Flavor is bread crust, milk chocolate, bit of metallic herbal hops (not in a bad way), bit of light caramel malt. Hint of dried cherry? Hint of anise? This is very clean with a bunch of bread crust and chocolate up front and a very clean, yummy, and neutral/integrated backbone. Mild chocolatey aftertaste. This is an impressive version of a spiced imperial porter - the spices are lovely in the aroma, but muted in the flavor and the brew is incredibly balanced and full, allowing for delicate flavors to come out! It is hard for me to imagine it getting a much higher rating without barrel aging or altering the style / intensity. Great job! (although, I'd probably prefer a barrel-aged stout on most days)
