RedSox2004	2.8 Big Bear Mountain Red Ant Hill Red Ale Red amber in color with a thin off-white head and ok lace. Aromas features caramel with hints of orange and cashews. Terminus	3.5 Big Bear Mountain Grizzly Bear Doppel Bock tap at brewpub-definately by far the best beer this place has to offer-pours deep brown with a small off white head. nose is chocolate lite char and nuts. flavors of nuts and chocolate really pretty good compared to their other offerings. pretty simple and straight forward. the 11% comes through in the finish, but very lite for the abv. a pretty decent brew here. Terminus	3 Big Bear Mountain Orange Blossom Amber Ale tap at brewpub-pours lite orange with barley any head. big orange rind nose almost smells articial though and real pungent. flavors are very similar but still feels and tastes artificial. not bad for the chic drinkers here, including the crew of cougars that sat behind me who were raving about this brewery and this beer (they were brainless!) BeerLimey	2.8 Big Bear Mountain Red Ant Hill Red Ale [Bottle @ Brewery] They were out of this at the brewery but fortunately they have the bottles (bottled by Indian Wells). Thankfull because it was the best available on the day. Clear reddish brown hue. Malty sweet caramel aroma. Sweet malty palate, sugarry crystal malts, light hop finish. BeerLimey	2.1 Big Bear Mountain Pub Pale Ale [Tap @ Brewery] Clear light amber appearance, lightly malty aroma. Some biscuity malty, hinting at English pale, bubblegum sweetness, very lightly hopped in the finish. This is a big alcohol beer but you’d never know from the malt flavor or the body. You’d think they would have held back the ABV rather than elevating it making it more malt liquor than english pale or ESB. Friday, June 3, 2011
BeerLimey	2.3 Big Bear Mountain Orange Blossom Amber Ale [Tap @ Brewery] Orange all around. Lightly hazed orange appearance, lots of orange sweetness on the nose. Lightly malty, a touch bready, strong orange flavor. Very light ale, not sure why they’re calling it an amber. danielcurtis81	3.4 Big Bear Mountain Grizzly Bear Doppel Bock Served on tap at Big Bear Mountain Brewery. The appearance is a medium dark brown with some large bubbles. The aromas are mild malts, brown sugar, and medium roast malts. The flavors are a bit of fruity esters, some brown sugar, grains, almost some tea in there. The mouth is medium bodied, especially for the supposed 10+%. Carbonation is low but there unlike some of the others. Overall an average but decent doppelbock. Thursday, February 17, 2011

The aromas are also stale. The flavors are the same. Oxidized, mild stale malts. When I first tasted my buddies I though they acidently gave him the Pale Ale but the IPA is even less hoppy then that. The aromas are a bit stale with a light hop dose. The flavors are the same. Pale malts, light hops. The mouth is fairly still. This beer has seen it’s better days (at least I hope). The aromas are strong with a McDonald’s Orange Drink aroma that takes me back to me T-ball days. I dig it. The flavors have a powdery orange taste that runs through the beer. Light hop additions. brokensail	1.2 Big Bear Mountain Orange Blossom Amber Ale A: The pour is a hazed light orange/amber color with no head to speak of. S: This beer stings the nostrils, and not in a good way. Paint thinner, orange rinds, and Vick’s Vapor Rub work well to clear a sinus problem but aren’t really what I look for in a beer. T: This is what a mixture of orange peel infused cologne and Vick’s Vapor Rub would taste like. Simply dreadful and it burns a little bit. M: The body is thin with almost no carbonation and an intense heat as though taking a drink of liquor. D: Truly dreadful. This might be good for a head cold, but it’s nothing I would ever wish to drink again. Sunday, September 12, 2010
brokensail	2.1 Big Bear Mountain Old Miners Gold Pilsener A: The pour is a hazy pale straw color with a finger or so worth of white foam. S: A sour lager? A lemony flavor along with some light cracker malts and that’s about it. At least it’s not skunky... T: A light hop bitterness with some hints of grassy hops. A very light beer overall with some light cracker flavored malt and again the lemony tartness. M: Certainly light in body but a nice lively carbonation that gives the beer a nice crispness rather than the limp feeling of all the other beers. D: I know this beer isn’t supposed to be sour, but it was probably the best thing about this beer. Is that a bad thing? Sunday, September 12, 2010
brokensail	2.3 Big Bear Mountain Pub Pale Ale A: The pour is a clear golden color with pretty much no head at all. S: The nose is sweet malts with some light caramel and honey, and (again with these guys) oranges. Some hints of butter at moments, too. T: This is pretty malt forward with some light toast and bread. There is a slight citrus flavor of sweet oranges and a definite taste of butter. The bitterness is minimal. M: The body is light with a pretty low level of carbonation. D: This one is alright if you like buttered toast with orange marmalade. Not really for me. Sunday, September 12, 2010

S: A pretty decent hop aroma to this beer, which is mostly oranges (seems like a popular theme at this brewery). There are some hints of pine, but otherwise it’s sweet and bready malt. T: The flavor is quite bitter, much moreso than I would have expected from the nose. Most of the hop flavor is in the form of bitter orange and grapefruit peels. M: The body is on the light side of medium with a low carbonation. D: This is one of the better beers from these guys, but that’s not really saying too much. Sunday, September 12, 2010
brokensail	2.7 Big Bear Mountain Red Ant Hill Red Ale A: The pour is amber in color with a thing off-white head. S: The nose is sweet caramel and oranges, both the flesh and the peel. There’s a slightly nutty aroma too which seems a bit out of place with the rest of the nose. T: There is a nutty flavor to this as well with a bit of toffee and toasted malt. Strangely, the oranges I picked up in the nose are missing, and instead there is a hint of coffee... M: The body is a bit on the thin side with a low carbonation that doesn’t do much to help the beer out. brokensail	3.7 Big Bear Mountain Grizzly Bear Doppel Bock A: The pour is a deep dark brown that borders on black with a thin off-white head. S: Nose is quite sweet with some burnt sugar, coffee, licorice, and dark chocolate coming through. Nothing really doppelbock about it, more like a porter, but actually pretty good. T: A nice caramel sweetness along with some toffee and burnt sugar. Some hints of chocolate and licorice as well as a nice roasted malt flavor. M: The body is medium to full with a real sticky chewy texture and a moderate carbonation. D: Wow, a good beer from these guys. Again, this isn’t much like any other doppelbock, but it’s really quite enjoyable. I’d stick with this beer if you find yourself at this brewery. Sunday, September 12, 2010

Flavor is a nice sweet caramell/toffee malt flavor with a little bit of crisp hops. Definitley more sweet than hoppy. The finish is a little tinny though which detracts from the pleasant beginning.
