2.3 Blue Corn (Santa Fe) Whiteout Stout Can (Mar 13, 2020 canning). Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain, husks), with notes of stale coffee grounds, cocoa powder, chile peppers, celery. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Pretty unpleasant. Vegetal nose with likely coffee added (and cocoa powder? and peppers?). Syrupy sweet with very little to balance. Such a dumb style. Saturday, July 11, 2020

3.6 Blue Corn (Santa Fe) End of the Trail Brown Ale Tasted at GABF 2018 in a sampler glass, a deep brown colour with beige foam and lace. Malty, caramelly, toasty, strong roast character, definitely seems hoppier than the alleged 21 IBU, citrusy, earthy, herbal. Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bittersweet aftertaste. Good stuff. Monday, October 8, 2018
