Helldorado Docs Stout
On tap at HBC - Pours a deep, dark brown color with a one finger thick tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma is light roasted malt. Flavor is sweet chocolate and toasted malt. Has an odd metallic taste to it. Light to medium body. Beer needs a little tweaking and it will be pretty good. Not bad as is.

Helldorado Western Kolsch
On tap at HBC - Pours a hazy light golden color with a one finger thick white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is yeast and esters (banana). Flavor is also yeast and esters. Not much malt presence. Light to medium body. Palate is a little bitter. I think the style is a little off, but still a decent beer.

Helldorado Toughnut Brown Ale
Pours a deep dark brown topped by half an inch of tan foam. The head reduces to a ring in short order. Scant lacing. Rich roasted malt in the aroma is noticeable as soon as the growler cap is loosened. Additionally, there is a mild chocolate and fruity aroma. Dark and dry roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and tangy cherry fruit in the flavor. The roast, the fruit flavor, and a bit of old yeast linger into the finish and aftertaste. Lightish body and carbonation. Smooth drinking.

Helldorado Tombstone Ale
got this in a trade a while ago no date on bottle I do not know who it was but thanks. from the bottle poured a dark amber with a small off white head that left no lacing. aroma a sour, malt, caramel, fruity, grains. flavor hard pressed to find any but did get hints of malts and brown sugar. I do not think this aged well so I am going to rate this higher . I know this might not sit well with some people but it isn’t the breweries fault that it has been sitting in my frig. for a while. I do think this could have been a better beer fresh

Helldorado IPA
On tap at HBC - Nice clear amber color with a nice white head. Very light hop aroma. Flavor seem too balanced to be an IPA. This is not an IPA most of us come to enjoy. It lack the big hop aroma and flavor. Still, it tastes like a decent amber ale. Nowhere close to an IPA though.

Helldorado Tombstone Ale
purchased right in the tourist hell that is tombstone, arizona. i like how the ale flowed out of the bottle, spilling gracefully downward in a robust celebration of the time-honored tradition of gravity; and i like how it took on the same charming characteristics of coldness that many great beers display on emerging from the refrigerator. from there however, it’s harder to find things to like. a soapy head sat on this rust colored clear beer with admirable fidelity-- in fact for far longer than i personally would care to dwell on this product if i were a head. aroma is an illusive thing, but unlike a butterfly, will not come nearer if you ignore it: resembles an old cigar box with some children’s pencils and crayons in it. very bland flavor. some malts rightly show indignance to have been so poorly represented, but bright carbonation pushes tinny and very thin flavors onto heights they simply can’t defend.

Helldorado Tombstone Ale
This beer is lightly carbonated and pours with a wispy tan head. The beer is a brilliantly clear, deep ruby-amber color when held up to the light, otherwise a dark amber. The aroma is malty with interesting notes of caramelized bread crust, toasted malt, and sweet caramel. The taste is lightly sweet up front with a finish that has hints of roast malt in it. This beer is light on the palate, quite light bodied and finishes with a bit of hop bitterness. This beer is focused on the malt with notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted biscuits. There is a nice, subtle, spicy hoppiness to this beer as well. There is a lot of things going on in this beer, though it is all fairly subtle.

Helldorado Docs Stout
This beer is a pitch black color, it is served with an initially frothy, creamy light brown colored head. I smell strong aromas of darkly roasted coffee and burnt grain husks in the nose. The taste is surprisingly sweet, almost artificially so (like a milk stout with added Lactose), but this is purely a natural malt sweetness. There are dark roasted malt flavors here as well as burnt chocolate, but the sweetness is definitely the most evident note. This is quite interesting and not at all what I was expecting of this beer. This beer is actually fairly light bodied, despite the sweetness. Definitely and interesting interpretation, and I should note that the brewer thought that this beer could use some improvement.

Helldorado Crystal Pale Ale
This beer has a wispy pale head, perhaps a hint of haze shows up in this full gold colored brew. The aroma is lightly floral with notes of lemon and a hint of herbalness. There is a lightly sweet maltiness here as well as some floral hop notes. Floral is definitely the best way to describe the hops in this beer, it has a light spiciness to it as well and finishes with a light bitterness. This beer is fairly subtle; it is almost an intro Pale Ale. The interesting thing about it is the mix of hops used, some of which are not typically found in a pale ale. This gives this beer a floral/ herbal flavor as opposed to the typical citrus character found in many American Pale Ales. The brewer say he was not happy with this beer, but in some ways I think that it is quite appropriate for the first micro-brewery in the small town of Tombstone AZ.
