Pilsener/Pils/Pilsner

While the definition of Pilsener is open to debate in the beer community, it generally refers to pale, hoppy lagers ranging from 30 IBU and up. From Classic German Pilsners, which tend to be light-to-medium bodied, semi-sweet to off-dry, hopped with German noble hops, to New World artisan renditions in North America, New Zealand, and elsewhere, which showcase modern hop varieties. A separate style category is maintained for Czech Pilsner / Svetly.
