Blue Palms Brown Bag Night - "750 mL Corked-and-Caged"

Details

For the 10th time, Blue Palms BrewHouse is organizing a loosely structured double-blind tasting of beers within a set theme-- this time, “750 mL Bottles, Corked-And-Caged”. The idea is that this is a way to strip away any pretensions and preconceptions about specific beers you are drinking, and to challenge and educate your palate about the flavors and aromas you experience.

Starting at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 14th, we will do a "Brown Bag" tasting of various beers in small pours, and you can evaluate, rate, savor, and compare the beers to one another as part of the tasting. Price of admission? Just a bottle of beer that you bring in for the occasion. Any beer of your choice, as long as it comes in a 750 mL bottle with a cork-and-cage packaging. We’ve had too many people “cheating” at prior Brown Bag nights and trying to “guess” the beer largely based on the size and shape of the bottle. Not this time! This loose requirement obviously opens up a huge array of styles and beers, including hundreds of different Belgians, dozens of American craft breweries, and many offerings inbetween. Come join in on the fun and challenge yourself!
