Meddlesome Moth, located at 1621 Oak Lawn Ave., will kick off its Summer Beer Dinner Series by hosting a special beer dinner, called “The Avery Experience,” with Avery Brewing Company on Monday, June 13 at 6 p.m.

Guests will have the opportunity to arrive at 5:30 p.m. to mingle with Avery president and founder, Adam Avery, while enjoying a pint of Joe’s American Pilsner. This will be a rare opportunity for beer lovers to meet and talk with Avery, as it will be his only visit to Texas in 2011 and his first personal attendance to a beer dinner in the area in several years.

Chef Chad Kelley and the Moth’s cicerone, Matt Quenette, in collaboration with Avery, have endeavored to make this dinner a true example of the elegance that craft beers bring to a meal. Each course will have a dual beer pairing to showcase how each beer can complement and contrast with each dish. A special after-dinner beer also is included in the price of this event.
