Very Mad Cow, our barrel aged Mad Cow Milk Stout, is the first of our Deep Woods Series to get the bottle treatment in 22’s and it will be on sale only direct to customers at our Kedzie Ave. brewery. Aged six months in Woodford Reserve barrels this beer is what you would call smooth and sells for $15 a bottle. Very Mad Cow sales will begin to our dedicated Mug Club members at 4pm, with sales to the general public from 5pm-10pm. This is a limited release of around 5000 bottles and we will enforce a 4 bottle limit per person and keep it on sale until it sells out. We have more Very Mad Cow aging away in bourbon barrels for a spring release along with Straight Jacket (barrel aged barley wine) coming out in December and Mean Gene in early 2013.

We thought we’d hit you with a 1-2 release this time, so our World Beer Cup Gold medal winning Rise American Stout will be for sale in bombers, too, and you should see it in stores the following week. Priced nice at only $9/bottle, you can grab as much Rise as you please. Lastly, we’ve got Bean Gene, our Eugene Porter that has been bourbon barrel aged with coffee beans at the brewpub that will be available on draft that day at both locations. After you’ve tucked away some bottles under your arm, cozy up to the bar for a snifter of this little slice of heaven (sorry no free samples for the mug club on this one).
