Auburn University’s Third Annual Oktoberfest

Details

Beer lovers will have reason to rejoice this September as The Hotel at Auburn University brings Oktoberfest back to Auburn for the third year in a row—and it’s bigger than ever before. Visitors can enjoy traditional German vittles, live music and, of course, celebrate beer by sampling more than100 craft brews. The festival will take place Saturday, September 28 from 4-9 p.m. at The Hotel at Auburn University. Presale tickets are available for $35 and can be purchased at http://auoktoberfest.bpt.me/. Tickets will be $45 at the door. Food tickets will be sold separately for $5 each.

“This year’s Oktoberfest will be our biggest celebration yet,” said Hans van der Reijden, managing director of The Hotel at Auburn University. “We’ve partnered with Alabama Beverage and The Event Group a Tailgate Guys Company, which has allowed us to increase the size of the event as well as the number of participating breweries, so beer fans will have an even larger variety of brews to sample. We are striving to create an authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere in Auburn by featuring the best in beer, food and entertainment.”

The Hotel at Auburn University is offering two great packages for visitors looking to enhance their experience. The “Eat, Drink, & Be German” package includes one general admission ticket, five food tickets, and an Oktoberfest t-shirt for $60. For beer enthusiasts who would like to make a weekend out of the fest, The Hotel at Auburn University is offering a special overnight deal. For $199, guests will receive two general admission tickets, four food tickets, two Oktoberfest t-shirts, a Saturday night stay at the hotel, and the breakfast buffet for two in Ariccia on Sunday morning.

Each brewery will showcase a small selection of beers, giving attendees an opportunity to sample a variety of great brews. Select breweries will also present one-off beers, which are brewed specifically to be served at the Oktoberfest event. Guests will be able to sample beers from the following breweries:
