This Tuesday, ChurchKey is proud to present the official DC Launch of Terrapin Beer Company! For over 10 years, Terrapin has been providing the state of Georgia with finely-crafted libations, and DC is up next to get a taste!

Making the journey up from the Athens, GA brewery will be several of their year-round offerings in Hopsecutioner IPA, Rye Pale Ale, Golden Ale (Cream Ale), and Tree Hugger Altbier!

A few other treats we’ve received for the event are Pumpkinfest, an Oktoberfest brewed with pumpkin & spices; Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout brewed with cocoa nibs & lactose. Big Hoppy Monster, a massive Imperial IPA that is balanced by its firm malt structure; Reunion, the annual collaboration with Shmaltz Brewing Company - this year’s iteration is an American Strong Ale brewed with Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla & Locally-Roasted Coffee; and Rye Squared, a brew utilizing twice the malts & hops as Terrapin’s Rye Pale Ale.

Further still, several barrel-aged rarities will be in house you will not want to miss! Barrel-Aged Maggie’s, a Farmhouse Ale brewed with Peaches & aged in Red Wine Barrels; Barrel-Aged Monk’s Revenge Belgian IPA aged in Red Wine Barrels; Barrel Aged Hopsecutioner IPA aged in Red Wine Syrah Barrels; and Barrel-Aged Moo-Hoo, a Milk Stout aged in Four Roses Bourbon Barrels with Cherries.

Also, one beer that’s rarely seen outside the brewery is Dos Cocoas, a Chocolate Porter brewed with cocoa powder and aged for one month on a bed of cocoa nibs. And finally, we will be getting one of the very first kegs of the never-before-brewed White Chocolate Moo-Hoo; this is Terrapin’s Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout brewed with cocoa nibs & white chocolate.

There is no admission fee for this event, and all Terrapin Drafts will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasting pours.
