On November 14, 2013, ChurchKey will once again be among the finest Belgophile bars, restaurants, and stores across the nation to raise a glass in celebrating Vanberg & DeWulf’s birthday (back in 1982) and the great state of craft and specialty beer culture in the U.S. of A. On this day, we are proudly joining hands with the most progressive, idiosyncratic, and wonderful retailers and publicans across the states and beyond. All to honor one of the first, and still best, importers of outstanding craft beers, Vanberg & DeWulf!

The first two Coast-to-Coast Toasts became some of the largest one-day celebrations of Belgian beer culture in the United States in this millennium (good thing the millenium is young). Along with the countless other supporters and VBDW themselves, we are committed to making this year’s party even bigger, and would love for you to join us.

We’re ready to party—are you?

For this celebration, Churchkey will feature drafts of almost 25 different brews from Belgium and France...and we also secured some of VBDW’s imports arriving from Italy and Iceland! This promises to be an insane event that you cannot miss...

The Belgians are fully stocked of course...look for 11 different Brasserie Dupont beers (including rarities like Posca Rustica, Monk’s Stout and La Biere de Beloil, as well as a fresh, 2013 batch of their holiday ale, Avec les Bon Voeux), 4 brews from Brasserie Dubuisson (including the 2013 vintage of Scaldis Noel), 3 brews from the much-revered young & exciting Dilewyns family brewery (including Vicaris Tripel Gueuze – a blend of Vicaris Tripel & Boon Gueuze!), and even Vanberg & Dewulf’s very own Strong Blonde Ale, Hop Ruiter, lovingly brewed at the Scheldebrouwerij...

France is coming as well with 4 Castelain specialties...the Italian brewer Amiata has kegged up some Contessa for the occasion as well, and for the second straight year, we’ll have the the dark & alluring Lava Smoked Imperial Stout from Olvisholt in Iceland!

Six rare and special beers will be offered via bottle pours as well! LambickX: De Troch (Blend of De Troch-Brewed Lambics Aged & Blended by Don Feinberg of Vanberg & DeWulf), LambickX: Private Domaine (Blend of Single-Source Lambics Aged & Blended by Don Feinberg of Vanberg & DeWulf), Lambrucha (Blend of De Troch Lambic & Kombucha Tea), LambickX – Kriek (Blend of Cherry Lambics Selected, Aged & Blended by Don Feinberg), Bzart Lambiek (Oude Beersel Lambic which takes the same journey as traditional Champagne, and ultimately results in a crystal clear, effervescent & dry Gueuze), and finally De Cam Oude Lambiek (this still lambic is aged for a minimum of three years in oak casks and only 1500 bottles will arrive Stateside!).

There is no admission for this event and all VBDW Drafts & Bottle Pours will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. taster pours...
