Long Road to Helles Release Party

About a year ago we tried a Rye Pale Ale from a new brewery in Frederick, MD. Monocacy’s Riot Rye was incredible then, and a year later it’s still tasting amazing and is one of our only permanent drafts. To celebrate our friendship with Monocacy we brewed a collaborative beer that will quench the Devil’s Thirst: Long Road To Helles

Developed by Tom Flores, Brewmaster at Monocacy, and Tim Prendergast, Cellarman at Meridian Pint, Long Road to Helles was brewed with exactly 666 pounds of grain per 15-barrel batch and will only be available at Meridian Pint and Smoke & Barrel.

For the release we are tapping two special casks. The first is a firkin of Riot Rye dry-hopped with Meridian hops of course. The second is the first of six keller-style casks of Long Road To Helles. Each is dry-hopped with a single American or Noble hop and one will be tapped each day starting on the release.
