On Saturday, August 9, 2014, REAL a gastropub and The Victoria Foundation, Inc (a Hawaii 501(c)3 nonprofit) will be producing the 2nd Annual REAL Beer Festival on Oahu.

When: Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where: Kaka’ako Makai Gateway Park, next to Kaka’ako Waterfront Park
at 741 Ilalo Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
Cost: $60.00 plus a processing fee of $4.29 per person

The festival will showcase nearly 65+ craft beers from Hawaii, mainland U.S. and international breweries. A leisurely afternoon with live entertainment from classic rock, blues and progressive blue grass. Food from fifteen (15) Oahu’s restaurants including Tiki’s Grill & Bar, JJ Dolan’s, Side Street Inn, Pint + Jigger, d.k Steak House and Roy’s Restaurant are a few.

Advance ticket sales are now available at REAL a gastropub, BREW’d craft pub and online at the Eventbrite festival page. Tickets are $60.00 each plus processing fee which include an event beer mug, ten 4 ounce brew tasting coupons and unlimited sampling of beer centric food dishes. Tickets will be limited to 2,000. Additional beer tasting scrip can be purchased at the event for $2.00 each.

Parking is available at the surrounding lots. The lot that is one block away at the Ewa side of the John A. Burns School of Medicine is operated by the States’s HCDA and is a paid lot. The lot that is makai of the medical school is for the Kaka’ako Waterfront Park and it is free. There is also a paid parking lot operated by OHA on the Diamond Head side of the festival location near the Children’s Discovery Center.

Guests are encouraged to bring their beach chairs and relax on the grass lawn. Attendees will be able to reenter the event as long as their wrist band is intact on their wrist. Guests must be 21 years and over, no refund on tickets and everyone must have a valid ID.

Proceeds will benefit the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation’s educational programs that promote careers in agriculture to grow future farmers. The Hawai‘i Agricultural Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization created to promote agriculture and farming. Established in 2007, HAF’s mission is to support and sustain Hawai‘i’s agricultural industry by addressing critical needs and services of farmers and the agricultural industry in Hawai‘i, and by better connecting the farmers with the community and vice versa.

REAL a gastropub is Hawaii’s first beer-centric pub is located at the Ward Farmer’s Market at 1020 Auahi Street, Honolulu, HI 96814. Telephone 808-596-2526, Open Monday to Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
