The Division Ale House hosts Ohio’s Great Lakes Brewing Company for an ugly sweater party and food drive on Thursday, December 18 from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. The bar offers seasonal and limited release Great Lakes drafts, including Fitzmas Spiced Porter, Christmas Ale, Blackout Stout, Engine 20 American Pale Ale and Dortmunder Gold Lager. Emmett Conway, a level one Cicerone and a member of the family that owns the brewery, will be on-hand during the event for beer education.

The bar holds a raffle at 10 p.m. featuring prizes such as an American-made Great Lakes toboggan, a Great Lakes pub mirror and a gift certificate to the Division Ale House’s sister bar, High Noon Saloon. Attendees receive one raffle ticket at sign-in plus an additional raffle ticket for each unopened non-perishable can/package of food donated to support the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The attendee wearing the tackiest sweater (as determined by crowd approval) will be awarded a $100 Division Ale House gift certificate at 10 p.m. Chef Wally Rouse prepares beer-spiked food special such as Blackout Stout mushroom soup; Christmas Ale-brined turkey sausage; and Fitzmas-braised carnitas quesadillas.
