The sixth edition of ‘Beer Festival Groningen’ will take place on Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of April. The ‘Martinikerk’ will be the beautiful decor of the festival just as the years before.Besides that, Beer Festival Groningen was the first beerfestival with a church as a location. After four successful editions, the six year anniversary will be celebrated this edition with a broad variety of national and international draft beers and bottled beers, which will be presented again. Besides that, Beer Festival Groningen offered a varied programme which consisted out of various master classes and competitions.The festival will be divided into three sessions:

Friday the 8th of April ----- 7.00 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.
Saturday the 9th of April --- 1.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.
Saturday the 9th of April --- 7.00 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.

Visitors will get the chance to attend master classes from famous international beer gurus. For the sixth time in a row a brewing competition will take place for amateur and professional brewers. This year, amateur brewers will be challenged to brew a ‘Saison’. Besides the competition for amateur brewers, there will be a brewing contest for professional breweries. For this edition, two competitions will be organized: one for the best and ’Most tasteful Saison’ and one for the ’Best and most tasteful Tripel’. After the successes of the previous years the organisation has decided to continue with the beer and food contest on the following festival.
