The 29th Chester Charity Beer Festival

Details

May sees the return of Chester’s longest-running beer festival, which will be celebrating its 29th year.
The Chester Charity Beer Festival, organised by Chester Round Table, has grown to attract more than 2,000 visitors from across the region to its annual event. On offer are over 140 ales, ciders and perries, showcasing many of the best local independent breweries, together with a selection of the finest beers from the rest of the UK.
The festival hopes to raise more than £10,000 for local charities and community projects. All profits go to local good causes including Space Sensory, Countess of Chester Acute Medical Unit, Age Cheshire and many more local charities, as well as individual children and families in need of support.
The annual beer festival has become known as one of the liveliest social events in Chester’s calendar with several bands providing entertainment, a yard of ale contest, and a fantastic popup restaurant run by Hickory’s Smokehouse. The event gets excellent support from the locals, regularly selling out before the doors are open.
The festival has gone from strength to strength, and the organising committee are proud to be continuing the tradition as it celebrates its 29th year raising money for local causes in Chester.
The event runs from Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th May at Chester Rugby Union Football Club, Littleton. Tickets and further information are available from http://www.chesterbeerfestival.co.uk/

Cost: Thurs £5 Fri & Sat £10
