Join the Evening Star Cafe on Friday, April 26th, as we host the official Northern Virginia debut of Black Narrows Brewing Company. On this day, we will pour 6 of their amazing beers on draft alongside co-founder Josh Chapman!

Josh and Jenna are dear friends of ours. Before opening Black Narrows, Josh was a Sous Chef at Evening Star Cafe, and then head brewer at Bluejacket. Here are their words on returning to the Star.

“It's a coming home for us, Josh cooked here and we lived here when Em was a babe. We have fond memories sitting down at the Front Porch, dancing in the Number 9 Lounge and chowing down on eats at The Majestic many a night with the baby monitor in tow. This little brick building that holds two bars, a cafe, a bottle shop and our old apartment holds our hearts too. It wasn't just a place where we worked and lived, inside these brick walls we dreamed up Black Narrows and longed to make Chincoteague Island home. We can't wait to see y'all. Let's drink to the memories made and the ones yet to be.”

Highlights from the exciting beer list include Sounding Joy, a Sour Blond Ale with peaches; Salts, an oyster Gose; and Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Night, an Imperial Stout with cocoa nibs!

There is no admission fee for this event. All Black Narrow beers will be available individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasting pours.
