I just saw they serve food so will be there early to grab a bite before any serious imbibing happens.

Pretty good food even.

Good beers at Heavy Riff, food was, too. Their imperial porter was exceptional. This was a good stop. Can’t wait for the next one!

With the latest new brewery visit recently completed, does anyone have suggestions for the next one?

Couple thoughts. First is a double shot of Modern & 2nd Shift - Modern seems often overlooked in the community (lots haven’t been there) and 2nd Shift recently opened. They are 0.5 miles from each other so might as well hit up both. Modern is only open Fri & Sat from 4-6, so those that wanted a weekend may be able to do this easier.

Other idea is Two Plumbers. They are opening in St Charles on Saturday 3/18. I’m hoping to make it out there on opening day or weekend, so if things work out maybe some of us can meet up there whether its officially one of the visits or not.

If we were feeling crazy with the double shot, could make it a triple and go do a quick sample at Urban Chestnut’s U.R.B. tasting room. Pretty cool experience there - usually 3 samples to give feedback on & just costs a buck. It’s 0.7 miles from Modern.

John, I like the idea of Modern and 2nd Shift. I know Two Plumbers will open on that date but can you tell me if they will have their own beer on tap?

If its this thurs or next thurs around 5 or 530, I could do this. Id love to get one of these in with you guys before Im tied up.

Greg, the Modern / Second Shift version is Friday and Saturday. And Two Plumbers is not yet open.

So set one up where you want to go. I would love to have you!!!
