Athens (Greece!) in February

Visiting Athens on the 9-12.2 and was wondering if there’s something special going on in the city that we should consider.
We took a short holiday in Athens in December and pretty much fell in love with with the city, so when an excuse to return came up, we booked the tickets.
We’ve been to most of the better-rated places already, but any tips and updates are welcome.

I’ll be going in April and will be looking forward to hear more about your experience.

Did you pick up any interesting gossip from your last visit regarding whether Satyr Brew’s Menace v2 or indeed the entire Solo range will be distributed more widely across Athens or the islands?

A way to increase your reach during a short stay could be to have bottles delivered to your hotel from an online shop like this if you didn’t do so already:

Satyr Brew’s Menace v2 is over.. I think they are brewing (or will brew soon) a new beer.
Solo beers are easier to find.

I dont know if there will be a beer event during your visits (most probably not since good beer events are something rare in Greece). Haven’t heard of any new bars either. Visit Local at Chalandri again. It’s the best option for beer.

No rumors but we were lucky to have Menace v2 when we visited. Also got cans of The Alchemist at Local - this is way far from the city center but worth the travel. If you’re into cocktails as well, there are a few top bars in town. Flamingo is not far from the Local, but my fave is Baba Au Rum.

Noctua has an open day at the brewery on Saturday from 3. We plan to be there for the first hour - heading to the Lazy Bulldog and then to Gazi Music Hall for a concert that starts at 8. If anyone who reads this plans to be there, say hi - I’m the one accompanied by the very tall, blond, cute man :)

kerenmk go to Local Pub on Saturday night... from what I hear there will be a special keg tapped! Not a Greek beer.. but a great surprise!
