Got a top 10 from Gremlin |

Ok, guess I should wrap this up and work out the results. If anyone has any last minute thoughts, please add them and I’ll calculate and post the results at the start of next week. Think there’s still a few people who we haven’t heard from. |
A new question: |
Other possibilities are Kazakami, Sakazuki, Chatan (or was that 2015?) |
Originally posted by KyotoLefty I would say Anchor Point hands down. 2016 has been filled with crap new breweries though. I would like to try Talmary. I hope anchor point can increase its selection in the near future Tim |
Out of the ones mentioned, I’ve only had Sakazuki, Kazakami and Anchor Point. Out of them I’d probably say Sakazuki as I’ve had some dodgy ones from the others. |
Originally posted by shoulderbroken You had some dodgy ones from Anchor Point? Which one? Although I didn’t love everything they made, it seems like whom ever is in the brewery knows what they are doing to a certain degree. Sakazuki made a Belgian Strong ale that many agreed came off like a weizen bock - and nothing like a Belgian strong ale, , but it was their best beer when we visited last month. I kinda get the sense they are still figuring things out. Need to try Talmary, but can’t say 2016 was a great year for new breweries. 2015 was better (Kyoto) and I have high hopes for George’s brewery this year. Tim |
I am amazed at what Anchor Point is doing with a 50 liter system. Still, the ones I had did not wow me. I think Kazakami has tons of potential if someone would hide the spice rack from him. |
I thought the Anchor Point Weizen was pretty weird/dodgy. But our ratings seem quite different so maybe there was a difference between batches. |
