Makes for better acronyms, something we definitely need more of.

Maybe we need more names that in their acronym become a word unto themselves?

Sierra Nevada Oaked Biggie Smalls.

SNOBS.

My thought exactly

Isn’t there a brewery with a convenient numbering system that fixes all of this?

I have not once thought, "This beer name is too long. I should complain about it."

I have, but only when trying to fit a beer into an inventory computer database entry for the retail chain I work for. But I have yet to find a beer I couldn’t make fit and make mostly understandable.

Though -- yesterday, Shock Top Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat came close. It ended up something like SHOCK TOP HON BOUR WH NR.

Schneider Weisse introduced their beautifully arythmetical TAP (1-7) + 11. A pity only half of that easy to remember series survived in the RB listings, tackling their logic with mandatory aliases:
RIP elegant "TAP 4 - Mein Grünes", enter numberless "Schneider Georg Schneiders Wiesen Edel-Weisse".
Anyone else in favour of making TAP 1-4 and 11 ratebeable again (current ratings under original TAP names: 0)?
