With the addition of Factotum Brewhouse, Denver now officially has 50 breweries, making it second only to Chicago in number of breweries within city limits. Complain all you want about the quality of some of those breweries. That is still impressive. |
Thank goodness I live close to Denver!...Kind of. |
I am woefully behind in trying different spots. Diebolt gets better every time I go. |

Holy cow. And I have actually NEVER done a beer trip to Denver, although I’ve visited many times when there were somewhat less than 50 breweries. It’s on my list now. |
Originally posted by adnielsen Station 26 is great. The fact that it is so close to my house is problematic for my wallet. I think I’ve consumed at least a half barrel of the Juicy Banger IPA. Comrade has definitely been getting better, but they still don’t wow me. Some of my favorites that have opened in the last year or so are Diebolt, Beryl’s, Mockery. I liked Former Future at first, but the last few times I’ve gone the beer has been kind of bad. I’m looking forward to trying Declaration, as they are the first start-up I’ve seen to build a lab on site for quality control. |
Mockery is solid I just hope to see more pure beer from them. I like the spot it has that swank in the middle of a junkyard feel. |
Originally posted by notalush Agree with this for the most part. I think Beryl’s, Diebolt, and Mockery are great, as well. Probably my next three choices. I thoroughly enjoy Comrade and Station 26 and your comment about Juicy Banger is spot on. I have already filled two growlers of it. The stuff I had at Former Future’s Anniversary party was pretty good too. I don’t have a ton of hope for Declaration as the initial feedback I have heard hasn’t been great. Hopefully they will dial in. |
