It’s that time of the year again
For the 2015 edition we are moving the event outdoors!
The venue is the outdoor hockey rink at the Ritchie Community League. The outdoor hockey rink gives the event a larger space, allowing more patrons, and opening up the event to the fresh air seems to fit well with naturally conditioned ales!
Even though the EBGA Real Ale Festival is growing, it is still the same price as last year. The $30 admission ticket gets you:
- 1 (one) custom EBGA Real Ale Festival 2015 take-home glass
- 1 (one) event re-entry wristband
- 2 (two) beer tokens, 8 oz per token
- 1 (one) door prize draw ticket
Additional samples of these one-off real ales will be sold at the same rate as previous years:
8oz of Real Ale = $2.50
16oz of Real Ale = $5.00
Patrons should note that ALL of the firkins will be tapped at the beginning of the EBGA Real Ale Festival and pour until the firkins run dry! Availability will be on a first-come, first-served, first-enjoyed basis!
Food at EBGA Real Ale Festival will be available from a favourite local establishment:
Old Country Meat & Deli will be featuring a selection of traditional pub fare (meat pies, scotch eggs, sausage rolls)
Please remember to bring either an electronic (preferred), or paper copy of your Eventbrite ticket to EBGA Real Ale Festival. Note also that additional tokens for 8 oz or 16 oz pours of cask ale will be sold via cash only.
For those of you who are Untappd or Twitter users, tag posts about this year’s EBGA Real Ale Festival using the following hashtag:
#EBGARAF2015
Please enjoy these unique, naturally conditioned ales responsibly and with the respect they deserve. Do not drink and drive.
WHEN: 12 September 2015, 1pm - 8pm
WHERE: Ritchie Community League Hall (7727 98 street)
Tickets to EBGA Real Ale Festival 2014 can be purchased here
*** Tickets will go-live 10pm MDT on 3 July 2015 ***

There is a kid Doug, that taught and just graduated from Olds Brewing College, working at Le Trou du Diable, who among other things is consulting on a bunch of Alberta breweries. He mentioned what he was involved in the province when we were out in Shawinigan a couple weeks ago. It is crazy all the openings that are happening. This same guy is going to work at Cantillon this fall.

Whoo-Hoo. EBGA RAF2015 is sold out. Gonna look great having close to 300 people in the rink on Saturday. 20 beers, 1 mead and great local food and brewers. What more could you ask for? And it’s rhetorical, I don’t want any answers ;)
