Evanston update

Visited the liquor store in Evanston today. They had the same old stuff, Alaskan IPA, Deschutes Pale Ale, Fort Collins, but they had the excellent Alaskan Smoked Porter! A nice find.

Good to know, I’m headed up there Thursday for a meeting on the yet to be named Evanston Beerfest. Was there anything good on tap at Suds Bros?

They were closed! So I have no idea. Sunday brewpub closings offend my religious sensibility. They also had the Lagunitas Imperial Stout.

Got tired of sitting around the house for two weeks and I ran out to Evanston today. Suds Bros. had three new beers, a pale lager, a dunkel wiesse and a nice Holiday Ale. I didn’t see anything new at the liquor store, but I didn’t look around much. I picked up a Rogue Brutal Bitter. I traded out a growler from Suds also.
