Pulled in to drop off a keg and the sign read "Mariucchi’s Mexican grill" I know Bo had all the brewery equipment listed for sale since early this year, but didnt think they were going to sell the whole place. Only Angry Minnow left now. |
I hope someone will update the places to indicate that it either doesn’t exist, or that it is inside the restaurant. |
I talked to Bo at Autumn Brew Review regarding both South Shore and Muskie Capital Brewery. Muskie Capital is still brewing inside the Mariachi Mexican Restaurant which used to be the Old Hayward Eatery and Brewpub. Competition from Angry Minnow, the original Famous Daves location and a few other rustic themed supper clubs was overwhelming for the Old Hayward Eatery. The Mexican style restaurant is gaining more attention. For what it is worth, the regular bottled beers from South Shore is brewed in Ashland. All the special limited tap-only beers at South Shore and Muskie Capital is brewed at Muskie Capital in Hayward. So the good news is Wisconsin did not lose a brewery. |
Looks like I need to make a road trip to Hayward and get an updated photo of the place. |
Well then. Im guessing its gotta be the only Mexican restarurant brewpub in the world. |
I believe there is a brewpub in a Cuban restaurant somewhere in CA. |
the brewery in the Cuban restaurant is no longer there either - they were just sharing space but have moved out (it’s called Mission Brewery) |
Im heading to Hayward tomorrow to grab a half barrel of Angry Minnows IIPA. 8.7% and only $120?! Yes please, should be nice to have on tap at home! They have a Smoked Porter on tap im excited to try as well |
