Here’s one that caught me off guard, and it’s in my neighborhood to boot. Roosters in Rocky Hill is apparently starting a brewing operation. I saw a brew kettle with their name on the manifest. Could be dangerous...

That should be interesting!

Less good news - Bluetick has lost their lease and has closed, hopefully temporarily. The plan is to reopen at a new location in July or August.

No, Christopher is being pretty tight lipped about it. He did tell me he wants to stay in Blount County.

Hexagon is apparently up and running. Judging by their FB posts they are a pretty big operation. Need to do recon work...

Elkmont Exchange is hoping to open later this year at 745 N. Broadway (the old Rentals Rentals building). The owner, Alex Violette, is a Knoxville Native and the former head brewer at Upslope in Colorado. It will be supposedly be very food oriented, as well.
