Starting the bid at 1,000 hurts your auction in a big way. I get trying to get at minimum $1K for this but I’m going to be nice in saying it won’t happen. Always start your bids at 1 penny. This increases initial bids and the auction will hit $200-$300 in the first 24 hours for something like this with nearly 40 people bidding. NOW, those people are locked in to notifications about the auction ending soon and being out-bid and they’ll keep coming back. Also, you’ll get a ton of watchers on the auction. If you want at least 1K, set a reserve but don’t start the bidding at that. Or, do a buy-it now for $1500 to show people you would like to get 1500 for it but start it still at 1 penny with a 1K reserve. Just some friendly advice. The auction format is fine. One last tip, do a 10 day auction for higher ticket items. It increases exposure as more people will have a chance to see it when they search. I’m not for selling beer on eBay but I feel like your’e not going to win on this one and it’ll end up not geting sold.
