Am heading down to Wellington for Beervana next week and would love some tips on great beer places to check out. Pubs, bottle stores .etc.

Places not to be missed (all within 15min walk of each other):
Hashigo Zake, Taranaki Street
Malthouse, Courtenay Place
The Hop Garden, Pirie Street, Mt Victoria
Little Beer Quarter, Edward Street (tucked away up an alley opposite the McDonalds on cnr of Victoria and Manners Streets - look for the Shop "Good as Gold" and head up that alley).
Bruhaus, Cnr Willeston and Victoria Streets
Tap Haus, Cnr Victoria and Dixon Streets

Bottle stores (and supermarkets):
Regional Wines and Spirits, Ellice St, Mt Victoria (by the Basin Reserve)
Rumble’s Wine Cellar, Waring Taylor Street
Thorndon New World
Island Bay New World (a bus ride away but well worth a look)

If the weather is nice and you’d enjoy a half hour walk (or you can bus if you want) then try getting out to Bar Edward, Newtown.
