Winnipeg update

I know over a year ago I posted that Winnipeg would be worth visiting as a beer place within 6 months...well that didn’t happen. However! It may have taken longer than we had hoped, but we are now in a "boom" time for craft beer in Winnipeg. In addition to the craft beer mega-bar Barley Brothers, which has been around for a while, we also have.
-Peg Brewing Company (they’ve been open for many months but finally have their own beer now)
-Barn Hammer (nice tap room!)
-Torque Brewing (tap room not open yet, but producing some decent beer in cans)
-Half Pints (about to open a tap room!!!!)
-The Common at the Forks - nice beer bar in Winnipeg’s most touristy spot
-Farmery (not very exciting, I know), is brewing beer in Western Manitoba for the first time.
and soon to open:
-Little Brown Jug
-Brazen Hall Brewing
and a bunch more further in the future (One Great City, Oxus, etc. I think a previous forum had a long list)
Really exciting time to be a beer drinker in Manitoba. If you haven’t been to Winnipeg in a while, now you finally have a reason to. I’d be happy to trade with anyone also.

The Half Pints Tap Room IS OPEN. 9-9 M-Sat 11-6 Sun.

LBJ brewed their first beers last week, so very soon.
