Well, it did have ticks, but all of the ones we had were duff or somehow off pale lagers. Bad luck, or bad pipe management, dunno, but only the desperate ticker in me is inclined to even think about finding out. Not far from the station, so easy enough to fit into a 1-day crawl like ours.

We were trying to catch the train at this point so visit was as fast as Minardi’s pit stop. Large place and full. Tables which were "empty" were reserved. But we managed to find some free stools next to bar. Smoking is allowed inside. Large number of taps and most of them are big macros. Few micros too. Anyway ticks were found and bellys fueled up!

A large, simply furnished restaurant just off the Americká. Stará Škola and Modrá Hvězda světlýs on tap during our visit, otherwise a rather bland selection of well-known brands. Food was good and the waitresses were very friendly. The opening times and location were quite convenient for us - otherwise not really worth a detour.

This is tucked away just outside the main centre of Pilsen and more of a locals’ place, but with the rare distinction of having 15 beers on tap with usually 3 rotating (no 3 Floyds last times i checked). It’s usually the only place in Pilsen with modra hvezda and sometimes stocks the cult purkmistr horseradish. The rest of the taps are mainly from the k brewing stable and often not in the best shape. Still, a nice place and likely to produce a few new ratings
