Barley’s Brewhaus - Overland Park

Nice neighborhood bar setup with a ton of TVs and roughly 60 taps, mostly national brands, though they did have some locals. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Had a good knowledge of what he was serving. Food was pretty good. Bathrooms were acceptable. Parking might be an issue on busy nights but on our visit it was mostly empty.

Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It’s a pretty big space with an outdoor patio area and a two sided bar. They had over 60 taps and you could beers in 5 ounce pours. I was hoping they’d have more local stuff. They had some solid taps but nothing too adventurous or that hasn’t already had. The food wa solid and the bar staff was receptive. It’s a solid Taphouse.

Somewhat large place in a strip mall. Nice decor inside with dark wood and a long L-shaped bar. Very large selection of taps. Did not eat here. Service was good.

nice place with a ton of taps. good mix of standards and rotating selections with a few pretty high quality brews mixed in. flights available, and service friendly and efficient.

Visited last Friday. Busy with end of week crowd. Decent selection, but nothing outstanding. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was good, not great. Prices seemed in line with the competition. I know that on occasion they do have limited release beers. Will wait until then for the next visit.

Good selection on tap that changes out frequently. Unfortunately too many of the taps dedicated to macros or non-interesting micros. Had Boulevard Coffee Ale on draft, which was a nice treat. Food variety is pretty good, and some of it is downright awesome (wings, pizzas). Ambiance is so-so; gets a large sports crowd.

Decent little beer bar in suburban Kansas City. Taps as shown but too many bmc taps. Had some crafts online though enough for a stop by when in the area. Big huge wings. Decent.

Ok. Lets start with the usual review points: - Girls : Excellent ! - Beer : Cold and Tasty.

Excellent value, the prices were a surprise. Flights are very generous, 5 for 9.00 or premium 3 for 9.00. Its a sports bar, large, music is mostly loud pop, ample seating, friendly wait staff. Selection is very good. Not up to the best cross the border due to availability issues but very good.

Stopped in for lunch after a long day on the road. Atmosphere is on the ’chain’ side of things, as if you could find a Barley’s in every ville next to the Chilis. You’d be hard-pressed to feel at home here. Still, it’s clean and they have a patio for when the weather suits. Selection is excellent and you can find all the popular local micros here, alongside a good cross section of national craft brews and international standards.Whether all the kegs are fresh would require multiple visits to ascertain, but both of my pints were primo. Service is competent, beer knowledge wasn’t really tested on this visit. Barley’s does seem to attract knowledgeable customers. A must-visit when in KC for the selection alone.
